Spiritually, the success of the Academy’s mission is reflected in the relationship between Young’s Chapel Baptist Church and Oak Hill Academy. Students are required to attend worship on Sundays. Located within walking distance of the campus, Young’s Chapel welcomes the students and invites them to participate in various church activities that occur throughout the academic year. The Academy values the relationship with the church and appreciates how the extended community is part of its success. Additional emphasis on spiritual growth and maturity is encouraged through devotions provided by the Academy chaplain, students, and faculty during daily homeroom assembly. Oak Hill Academy believes each student is created in the image of God, and encourages the development of faith in God.
Young’s Chapel and Oak Hill Academy also partner annually in the hosting of a student from Ricks Institute in Liberia. Together the church and the school provide scholarship and financial support for a deserving young woman from this war-torn country.
