The Oak Hill Academy girls’ volleyball team made an excellent showing in its first match of the year, a home contest with Cornerstone Christian Academy out of Abingdon, Virginia. The Lady Warriors got off to a good start, keeping pace with the Lions of Cornerstone, but they lost the first two sets. Spurred on by an enthusiastic home crowd, the OHA girls found their footing and came back strong with wins in the third and fourth sets, forcing the fifth. The Warriors came up a little short in the end, dropping the match to the Lions.

Coach Eddie Knudsen said he liked the energy in the gym; that the team fed off that. He added, “I’m proud of the girls for how they fought back after losing the first two sets.” Fight on, Lady Warriors!
