Basketball does not stop at Oak Hill Academy. All 5 teams in our program train throughout the entire school year. Beginning with player evaluations in the first several weeks of the school year, through preseason team training, a competitive season and an active Spring club season schedule, the opportunities for development are constant. Each team has a daily training block, supplemented with opportunities before and after school for additional skill development. All basketball teams are trained in coordination with our Strength and Conditioning staff to ensure maximum physical development, maximize injury prevention, and preparation to succeed at the next level. This is truly an opportunity to combine maximizing athletic potential within an academic and social environment that promotes personal growth. Regardless of the team, a consistent philosophy of player development in a very competitive environment provides the chance to be the best at getting better.

A Pathway to Success
Our entire basketball program teaches students the skills needed to find success on the court as well as off the court.
Alumnus Jeffrey Uju began on our White Team in 2015. As his skills progressed, he moved up to our Red Team in 2016 before securing a spot on our Gold Team in 2017. After graduating, he received a scholarship to play basketball at BGSU.
Upon graduation, he went on to medical school.
Today, we call him Dr. Jeffrey Uju, DDS—and we couldn’t be prouder!
